Endless Abyss is a 'deck building roguelike' from the same line as Slay the Spire where you delve into the depths of an abyss full of monsters and other dangers, choosing your own path as you go. Your goal: get to the bottom of the abyss and finish off the last boss.
Combat systems in the Endless Abyss are very similar to Slay the Spire. You get four energy points at your disposal each turn which you can use to play any of the cards in your hand. These cards allow you to attack, defend or use different types of skills. Most cards only cost one energy point, but as you customize your deck you'll run into all sorts of cards.
When you win each combat you'll pick up a few coins to choose if you want to add a new card to your deck. One of the most common beginner mistakes in this type of game is to put cards into your deck whenever possible. Ideally, you need a smaller selection of cards to be able to create good synergies. Sometimes it is not only a good idea not to take cards, but instead to remove them from your deck.
Endless Abyss is an excellent card-based 'roguelike' offering a gaming experience that's very similar to Slay the Spire with a visual style closer to Darkest Dungeon. An outstanding title, offering a wide variety of monsters, cards, relics and special events.
